What kind of boats do you use?
You’ll cast off on one of our four 30 – 32 foot customized Almar fishing boats—all equipped with state-of-the-art electronics to find fish, navigate, and communicate. All of our boats are completely walk around so you will have the room you need to fish from every side. Six guests and our expert crew fit comfortably on our vessels.
Do I need to purchase an Alaskan fishing license?
Great question. You’ll need to purchase a fishing license and get a king salmon stamp online before you arrive. Simply go to Alaska Fish and Game and purchase and print your license, please provide correct date and time when you enter the information. A printed copy is needed to fish on the boat.
Is fish processing included?
Absolutely. We take care of your fish from the moment it is caught on the boat until your departure. We bleed the fish on the boat, clean it and pack it on ice. At the dock we fillet the day’s catch, vacuum pack each fish with commercial packers, and flash freeze it to 30 degrees below zero. Finally, we box it all up according to your airline’s specs, so you can check it. When you get home it will taste as good as the day you caught it.
How many guest do you fish on each boat?
We can fish up to six guests per boat. If you and three others book together, you can have the boat to yourselves. If your group is less than four people, we’ll pair you up with other adventurers ready to have a good time.
Are there restrooms on the boats?
Yes, each boat has one available.
How long do we fish each day?
Each day we aim to spend 8-10 hours on the water. You’ll have plenty of chances to catch that dream fish!
Does weather ever cause cancellations?
We fish in all weather, so you’ll never have to worry about losing a day. But don’t worry—we provide all the rain gear and boots required, so you’ll stay warm and dry.
Will I share my room at the lodge?
All of our rooms are based on double occupancy, with an extra-long twin bed for each plus a private bathroom. If you’re taking a solo trip, we can arrange for you to stay by yourself as occupancy allows.
